Our Diseased Attribute

Our Diseased Attribute

A Poem by chloe cruz
"

He solemnly took everything I had.

"

He was the light

In my darkness.

The warmth in my soul.

He made my heart burn

A red, fiery glow.

He was my cure,

While I was his disease,

I was killing him,

While he was saving me.

Somehow, I knew, that we would never last

That didn’t stop me from loving him,

It only made me tighten my grasp.

As quickly as he entered my life,

He left, feeling disgraced.

I had recognized his lies.

I had met fate.

I spruced up it's ending. I don't know. This is horribly awkward to look back on.

Love it. It made me think of my last relationship and some of what we went through.

it seemed they had a symbiotic relationship. as deep as their bond was, it's hard to believe that he walked out on her. great piece.

Wow! That was so good. I loved the flow, so smooth. The pain in the words laid out bare so that even the reader feels it completely. Somehow, the writing made me remember flashes of the twilight saga, especially the second and third verse.
Very well written!! ^_^
