Icy Prison

Icy Prison

A Poem by Tyler James Mathieson
"

Just a short descriptive paragraph.

"
I feel so cold and no matter how much I cover up I can't get warm because heat comes from the inside and I am empty. I shiver, but not out of hope of warming, but out of an obligation to those around me. They want to see me trying to get better and then they'll leave me alone. They don't get that I might just be broken. They don't get that sometimes, a broken heart cannot be fixed.

The poem is clever, especially the ending. Although I think your phrasing is a little awkward and seems to break the mood sometimes. I'd just reread.
