Im not a perfect person
I've done things in my past that I regret
I've messed up
I didn't live up to my own standards of who I should be
I am flawed
But does that mean I should not be loved?
Or does that mean I need someone who loves me in spite of these faults?
Not even in spite of....more like because of.
Because these "faults" have made me who I am
These "faults" are what set me apart
And if you can't accept these "faults"...then you don't love me for me
You love me for who you think I should be
You don't care about who I am
You care about your version of me
Well, I hate to say it but that isn't me
I am a beautifully flawed and perfected in my imperfection
Because no one else can do what I can do
