SorryA Poem by playintheblues
Are you sorry? I'm sorry too.
But now there's more "I'm sorry" than "I love you". We took our love for granted, mishandled it. We were both reckless and now we've dismantled it. I never meant to hurt you, the opposite it true. But I must have touched the hurt that's deep inside of you. That hurt runs deep. Those things that you cannot speak. I must have opened those wounds, now I can not stop the leak. But baby, I also have been hurt inside. Things that make me cry. And you've done some things too, that opened my wounds wide. Now we stand here bleeding, being burnt by the fire we're both feeding. I wish we could put it out, instead we stay there grieving. These lines are a burden for me, hardest things I've ever had to say. With tears in my eyes, I think it's time to let go and walk away. We have to go and heal our wounds, I guess they will with time. You will always be my princess, but I need to stop the crying. Are you sorry? I'm sorry too. But now there's more "I'm sorry" than "I love you". © 2013 playintheblues |
StatsAuthorplayintheblueswashington, PAAboutJust like to write sometimes to "get it out". I never took any classes on writing or tried to learn anything about poetry. I just write what I'm thinking and what's in my heart. But I wouldn't mind so.. more..Writing
