A Poem by plainme

another body, laying next to me

another soul, that I want to see

another victim, of my destruction

another attempt, at stopping my reconstruction

the lust, the skin, irreplaceable

the thirst for love, unquenchable

her eyes, her smile, shine in the night

they're not the same, even a fool would know right

trying to find her, in others eyes

trying to remember those night time skies

lighting up another cigarette

filling up the lungs with my own silhouette

the moonlight, the stars and the nightly cold

the warmth of her skin would cause the wind to fold

her body and soul, is what I'm after

my life, my lips would be filled with laughter

but for now, I await my return

and for now, I watch the body next to mine turn

I always enjoy verse that rhymes above all else and not only does this poem have content and context but it rhymes very well. Thanks for sharing.
