This Exquisite Corpse

Death has ironed out the furrowed brow you always wore
It flatlines past your heavy-set blue eyes
still, as you lay, caught in the ray from a crack of sun
and choking on your swollen tongue, an inchworm
drags dead skin sediment on an underbelly
then coils in your clavicle
like a weary sled-dog would do if he thought
he might start your heart again.
This exquisite corpse
