up where up

up where up

A Poem by p.kuhl

when the mirrored room fades behind
you        something else happens       and you
are thrust into the outer sphere
up where up           melts like a mountain
and where the blue world turns

on its rotation so that so
does time     and the sun grows younger
and realizes all the lost
millennia         the longest months
and the quickest minutes

are now below his weeping eyes
and sifting like sugar through in-
visible hands            and above this
he is yelling at you to STOP!
STOP! a deep fog rising

in streaks along his now shrinking

face and blushing the black vastness

of his home in a veil          of wine

and you are wasted from the air

       that you are not drinking

up here      up melts like a valley

and where the blue world turns

you will find me in robes of white

gently rocking a newborn sun

to sleep beside the stars

I really like the ethereal feel of this poem. I like the imagery as well.
