The Rents

The Rents

A Poem by Poetic Justice
"

they do and then we do..personal. love you daddy

"

There was no more a loving kiss

Placed upon my brow

When joy was found in simple things

And love bestowed avow

Comfort sought in treasured arms

Was never to be lost

And tears were kissed and sent away

Given without cost

Gentle mummers sung the song

Where lullabies were made

And words that made the world complete

Always were conveyed

Time passes still til you become

The master of your ways

And those who raised you with such love

Grow fragile in their days

You now bestow the loving kiss

And in you comforts sought

Returned with love and tenderness

learned from what you're taught

I'm afraid to see my future while reading this beautiful heartfelt piece to your dad... I am sure he watches over you, ( I mean in any time)... It's good to have you around PJ, your writings are as ever near to my heart, in each genre.

This tribute really moved me.

i so relate to this...my parents are 93 and 91...and now the roles are reversed...

the love is reciprocated that we got as they nurtured us from the womb.

love this poem.
