The Miscarriage of Justice

The Miscarriage of Justice

A Poem by Poetic Justice
"

me me me...

"

I am not who you think I am

I am a lotus flowers blush in my lovers eyes

A meteor gracing the velvet skies

Imaginings glinting in a muse’s smile

Burning in rebirth across the Nile

An Echo rushing in sweet succession

Blood spilled in stained confession

Veiled kisses in hushed courtroom

Desert nights in old Khartoum

A winged horse with purest heart

Written words in blackened art

Bells tolled in fog and mist

Fingers twisted in defiant fist

Eyes that speak love of ages

Touching hems of wise old sages

Washing feet with tears of pain

Walking free in purple rain

Who I am is no concern

Read my words to truly learn

That who I am is what I say

When I’m no more, my words will stay…..

I loved this poem, a year ago, and even more now, when I read it again, dear.
Poignant, and also willing to stay lol! as I shall come back too in a while on the blue walls... You're Poetic Justice, in all you speak, the real one. Nobody can replace, your quill!~

This is so beautiful! The choice of words here creates such a picture of the many different pieces of this puzzle. I especially like the first line - I am not who you think I am - Very straight and to the point, It really grabs the reader, and then as you flow through this piece you are taken on a journey of many different emotions. This is an incredible write. And the the last line ends the piece in a way that is so final.

Whoa... that was brilliant... we all have so many layers, in fact so many that we don't even connect to all of them... very witty, creative and charming poem.
