...some things never change..and some things do.

come a little closer

and taste the forgiveness

when all is said

there is only the silence

of our thoughts, colliding.

It never leaves me

lurkes in the darkness

I feel it, cold.

still, if you come a little closer

you will surely taste it

purging your insides

with convoluted memories

of how you made me smile once

even if it was concave.

It is sweet I assure you

if only you could stand closer enough

to taste it.

You won't though because its easier to hold

onto the bitterness of your intentions

than taste the forgiveness on my lips.
