LOVE BOMB

LOVE BOMB

A Poem by Poetic Justice
"

Not happy with the title - likely to change...

"

Who could for see, the C4 encased around your heart?

The ticking so easily mistaken for the sound of a beat

Your smile devilishly turning up at the corners

Concealing the detonators which you could switch on and off

With a wink of an eye

The danger signs were evident but like most

We see only what we want to see

Your ability to confuse and defuse

With an incendiary determination

Was infallible

I fell amid the mines and yours

Nestled in the (na)palm of your hand

The clock was ticking

Oblivious to the danger I was in

I removed the protective clothing

I was naked and vulnerable

Just how you liked me

That’s when you exploded

It was unbridled in its magnificence

As it was disturbing in its intensity

There was no warning

There was no

There was

There, there…

PJ, as always your words echo.
I like the concept too. It has a typical PJ flow

"The clock was ticking
Oblivious to the danger I was in"

Amazing lines.

Love is always unpredictable.
As bombs are too.

I like that adventure though. :)

Nice to travel again in your thoughts!

I like the concept of this piece very much. Love without warning is of course the best kind.
