I Am AlmondA Poem by Rc R. VagilidadPublic stigma, shame, and regrets. Be who you are no matter how hard the World is. Choose happiness if you are not ready. Believe.
I am almond.
In Hershey's Kisses. In every chocolate branded. For it is fame that has brought those almonds invisible. And it stood flat on your palm. Waiting for your acceptance. And consume, and melts and disintegrates. Everyone stood up, and tasted the chocolate I am almond, an aftertaste. But this coated sweetness is weak. Facades are beautifully engraved To its nonentity. And by there, it lives. Grows. Forever in people. I am almond, waiting to be uncovered. I will put this chocolate inside me And they will be waiting after I am tasted If acceptance could just be Hershey's Kisses With almond waiting forth their unveiling People will just take the sweet And I am almond be understood. It is hard to accept freedom That is when you are strong Covered by weakness, too sweet You are smiling a regret.
