Ubiquitous Soul

Ubiquitous Soul

A Poem by Rc R. Vagilidad
"

Breaking free.

"

Then you bade the perfect goodbye
You took with you my pains
And the slander of your promises.
I have nothing left to say
I have nothing left of you

Your words halfway to oblivion
Your scent no longer lingers
Everything is gone
My life is ready for resurrection

I don’t have to ask where you went
Or how your days have been
What you ate for lunch,
Or even how you took your pills
I have nothing else to ask
Just utter your words, the very last

All that is left is written in white sheet
You were once my ubiquitous soul
But is now burnt into ashes
The remnants of you in the endless sea
You are nowhere and I am free.
