Danse MacabreA Poem by Scott H.The dance of the dead, Grateful or otherwise"Danse Macabre"
There's something in the air tonight That resonates of mystery - Soaks through the fabric of the skin And settles listlessly in the lungs, Driving the mind to frenzied motion.
The stars twinkle like dancing faeries Sighing their enchantments down Upon an unsuspecting, sleeping world. They tango in irridescent rhythms, Waltzing 'twixt Venus and Mars.
We'll rejoice in laughter as we go, With the moon watching o'er our heads, On the pathways of the wild night. The dancers hold us in their thrall And offer such a fragrant embrace. © 2008 Scott H.Featured Review
