falling

falling

A Poem by Pinky
"

***ME AT MY PUREST**** my 1st real poem that wasn't all mushy... i was in th grade...read more below

"

Jumping off the edge of an insane world

Trying to fly

But wanting to die

Falling but never hitting

Waiting

But never finding

The ground below

Afraid to look upon one death

For one just wants to forget ones past

If one opens ones eyes the round gets near

Waiting to die is a big fear

Some people cant live a lie

Called life

So they wait by falling to die

To end a lie

Called life

It is the only written work from my 1st comp book, that wasn't lost. There are a few more but they remain in my head... This is me RAW... and now its time for the story behind it. As i said i was in 5th grade... I was going threw a social anxiety thing and was paranoid that when I went into the lunch room everyone was talking shit about me... so i stopped going into the lunch room... i wud sit in the halls... a loner... and thats were i wrote this... then my mom found it thought i was sucidual and took me to a psychologist. She said it was good to get my feels out through writting... and i still do just that. I think it speaks volumes about who i am and who i grew to be... I know its not the greatest poem... but its me at my purest

This was truly pure! :) For writing it in 5th grade i'm impressed! I didn't start to write poetry until a fit of supressed depression during highschool.
You have this uncanny way to write poetry that touches my heart. I give you Hugs! :)
Thanks for sharing!

This is a very potent emotional poem or descriptive chapter and i can see the reality of life dawning on a person who feels trapped or claustrophobic with their mediocre existence, wanting more but realising they have been dealt their cards and there is no game of chance they must deal with what they are given.
I have been there where i wanted never to wake up and die in my sleep,i have been to the edge of darkness and realised that a condemned man is one who chooses to end his life prematurely for there then is only one conclusion and final destination infinity of lost souls.

This is very good. Full of emotion and depth. I love the last two lines.

people find all kinds of ways of killing themselves and ending the lie even though they don't physically die.. an emotional death is just as real. This was a good write short and very visual I liked it :)

This is an immensely profound work! These words have come out of the depth's of your soul no doubt for one can really feel and sense the purity of the whole. Seldom I read something that pure and crystal clear...

If I had to choose lines to be my favorites I'd have to show the whole poem for every line is filled with its own grandeur.

To me definitely a favorite!

This is a pretty good poem for the age it was writen at. You show a deeper understanding then most of that age. I really liked the line "Jumping off the edge of an insane world."

This is a very engaging poem. I like this poem a lot actually, I'm a bit concerned why I didn't read it earlier. Then again, I had a lot of read requests. This poem has a very strong meaning behind it. It speaks in ways about destroying one's own life just to escape.

Waiting to die is a big fear
Some people cant live a lie
Called life

I agree. Some people are not happy with their skin and their life. They want so badly for everything to just end, but because it won't, they go on to think they must destroy themselves. I agree with them. It's a hopelessness feeling that infects even me from time to time. But there a million ways to die, some people just need to find a way to live. It hurts and it's a very real feeling.

Truly, a remarkable piece.

It doesn't matter if it's not the greatest or anything else like that. It's there for a reason; It was your first writing, right? So, that mean something else. For example, "The Boiling Man" was my very first writing and I was only 17 at that time. So, nobody's perfect, but there are so many meanings behind the writings

Anyway, it's all good there...

I love this and I would never want to go back to 5th grade for the same feeling would arise. crazy that we live in a world where the people are ugly to each other, it's sad that kids get pleasure out of making another hurt. only if they could see the pain they cause and feel the desire to die!!! It sux!!!

Great Job I always enjoy reading your poetry =0)
