A Mothers Lullaby
A Poem by
Sarah
A lullaby to put children to sleep
Golden slumber kiss your eyes, Smiles await you when you rise. Sleep, pretty baby, Do not cry, And I will sing a lullaby. Care you know not, Therefore sleep, While I over watch you keep. Sleep, pretty darling, Do not cry, And I will sing a lullaby.

:)
My mom used to sing to me at bedtime.
This poem is lovely.
It shows the love of a mother:
the caretaker, the bandager and the protector
that good moms must be.
I like it!
Cheers!

I don't mean this in a bad way, but I fell asleep afterwards. It's really comfoting and it helped me get to sleep. This is a brilliant poem.

A wonderful "lullaby," indeed.
Not to break the mood, but quite a contrast to my "Shaken Innocent."
This was a beautiful write of the love of mother and child!

This was so sweet, loved it, loved the flow, the rhyming, everything.
I may have to memorize this one, for my new grandbaby.
