Daddy

Daddy

A Chapter by Sarah
"

A man in the fire pragade

"

Merry Christmas daddy,

I know that you are listening somewhere.

Me and mummy miss you,

I know you’ll love us forever until the day we start a new.

That day I left to go to school you said you’ll always care,

You said that even when you gone that you’ll always be there.

As you walked through the door you put a kiss on my head,

I guess you didn’t know that in the end you’d be dead.

Please ask god to tell you why you had to leave,

Because now your not here on the cold Christmas eve.

Mummy has to take my hand to make me understand,

The ring she had on her finger now hangs around her neck.

She said it makes her feel closer to you when we sit outside on the deck,

Merry Christmas daddy.

I just want you to be close to me,

Now you’re the angel that sits on my tree.
