Begging To Be Free

Begging To Be Free

A Poem by Shawna

Leave all thoughts of love behind
As we watch you fall
And drown in your own mind
We beg for you to sigh
And release us from this Hell
Crying for yet another chance at life
Take away all our hope
And let us be
Love a grenade that we still hold
Begging to be free
We bleed, to try and redeem
All that we thought we could be
Drowning in a sea of haunted dreams
Away our hearts fly
And finally, at last,
Our souls die
Take away all our hope
And let us be
Love a grenade that we still hold
Begging to be free
We are still begging to be free
Begging to continue to bleed
