Definition Define Me

I want to close my eyes
And fade out
Like noise muffled by increasing distance
I’m still looking for meaning
That may never define
Through the glowing of someone else’s eyes
Living life through a camera lens
And a bag of dollar store pens
I’ll see something worth my time
Out of the corner of my eye
But upon further inspection…
It was nothing at all.
