A Poem by Megan Harris

Sometimes I'm walking in circles under the dominating sun on a summer morning or watching myriads of leaves get caught in a wind tunnel as I roam on an autumn evening. Either way there is a moment when I pull my camera to my eye and see through it a whole new world. Where everything physical has been built by pure emotion. Where I can capture a feeling and have it come through in the most amazing way. Where colors show through on even the most black and white of feelings. I capture a moment. I catch inanimate objects breathing because in that second I let them borrow my lungs. For a minute all my joy or sorrow was not something I had to bear alone. I handed it off to something that could help me bear my crosses. That is why I love photography.
