Unaffected, Unafflicting, Jilted, F-ed Up MeA Poem by Megan HarrisDid we ever see it coming?
Jilted and hungry-full with our pseudo politico-religious ideologies... They never even noticed it coming in... and when it walked in bare hoofed, wrinkled, alone, grunting... You and I were laying sprawled out on the floor. Hands touching, smiling, Soaking up the rays of forsaken hilarity. Laughing about nothing in particular... Because nothing was important. © 2008 Megan Harris |
