Dear Catastrophe,

Dear Catastrophe,

A Poem by freshink7
"

here's my break up letter with Catastrophe.

"
dear catastrophe,

okay, okay, i have had just about enough of your shenanigans.
no one calls me an unruly b***h unless it's the closest of my friends,
ya know the ones that are there for me all the time not just lurking behind some door way ready to jump out and say boo!
man, f**k your boo, here i am i'm scary, come deal with my crazy s**t bombs- i'm over it, done.  breaking up, offically.
do not call, text, or email me, do not write me cheesy little love poems or try to sucker me in with a song and a shot and a stout,
i'm wise to your games- start casually in sneaky little situations,
you build your bombs while i'm breathing in calm
and breathing out smiles and identifying my f*****g feelings down by the river,
thinkin' oh yeah, i'm doing it: smile, drink, blame,
nothin' but socks and a saints t shirt right?
so say goodbye sweet sweet catastrophe,
nestle up to someone else's fearful bosom,
wrap your weight around their ankles and warm their cheeks innocent blush,
cuz me?  i'm out.  See ya!  it's been adventure.
but these bones ready to breath again like shadow laden daffodils in the wind keeping that little girl in the closet company,
not just momentarily, but for lifetimes.
