A Calling Forth

A Calling Forth

A Poem by pinkasylum
"

This was written at seeing all the strife, suffering and wars in the world. I thought, if only hope could pierce our reality.

"

The lords that reign o'er our thrones

must meet at her majesties highest tide

gathering all that is pilfered and lost

omnipotent change our final bequeath

A universal transition begins our rebirth

elevated transformation is our sweet release

sowing the seeds of new language and law

where all can understand

the earth's longing for One

And all the cry's bring

tender, quiet mothers home

to the once kindred vows

of wilderness and mankind

where their heads may lay

beside the still waters

and not so barren land

Where prayers can ascend

and answers reaped

for those who remember

and honor again

all that is living

all that smells sweet

This was my second poem ever written, 20 years ago, around the time Desert Storm began. I have since reworked it several times, I think I have found it's rightful balance.
