smiling, big eyes

smiling, big eyes

A Poem by Robert Erickson
"

A sweet little piece =)

"

smiling, big eyes

beginning blissfully
wandering witlessly
ignoring everything

searching soulfully
blinded balefully
knowing everything

(a chance meeting
hearts connecting)

feeling wonderful
smiling, big eyes
forcing surrender

enchanted then I
smiling, big eyes
feel the burning sky

hot white light is
burning with pride
etching the retina inside

images ingrained
smiling, big eyes
to the back of my mind

I did enjoy this simplistic but yet powerful piece. the ryhming scheme was really cool and I heard music playing behind it as i read it. Sorry it took so long for me to review this. Great job!

So it's an image slipping into your mind through your corneas?
Such an interesting thing to try and put into words.
Although I may be completely off in that interpretation.
Nice, enthralling write.
