A Poem by solsystemtillnervsystem

Little boy, I’ve seen your future.

You’re a lovely little thing,

a delicate, blinking darling

with a tendency to laugh

when really, you cry tears of wine,

whiskey and beer.

Little boy, I’ve seen your future.

You’re a lonely little thing,

a sad and tortured soul

whose only hobbies include

taking things apart to see how they work,

tick and function.

Little boy, I’ve seen your future,

and it’s darker than any comic book villain,

any movie crackling demon possession.

This isn’t a movie, little boy;

this is as real as it gets.

What have you done?

What have you done
