without, lost

without, lost

A Poem by solsystemtillnervsystem

Can you believe it?
I've covered myself in them,
the ghosts of heroes far away.
I've given them my soul
and my heart and hands, too
and they don't even know.

I've lost myself along the way.
Pieces of myself are pieces of them.

There is nothing here,
no love or home, no, not for me.
I'll drift like wood in a deep sea
surrounded by faceless waves
and voiceless whispers

Can you believe it?
I don't really exist.

Can you believe that?
