An immensely heartfelt and meaningful poem.

Because life is very dramatic, and sometimes dramatic stuff needs a poem.

"Shawty

I'ma party

Till the sun down."

The meaningful lines

of a song well-meant

of a life long-spent

in solitude.

When you think about it

rain is the tears of God.

Or the piss.

You decide.

That's meaningful because

tears are sad.

Staring outside

is deep because

if the rain comes down

it looks like you're starring

in an Adele music video

and those are always deep

and meaningful

and not at all pretentious

in any way.

Sometimes, I wonder

whether roses

feel it when they die

or whether they feel anything at all

since they're plants.

I wonder

whether plants,

and roses,

which are plants,

party till the sundown

like shawty

or whether

they'd prefer to stay indoors

and read.

It's okay for me to say these things

if I present them in a poetic form

because in a poetic form,

the words are very serious

and not at all a joke.

I will end this poem on a poetic note

about rain.

Rain...

is wet...

...if it's raining outside...

take an umbrella.

Oh, this is great! Oh, this is hilarious! I'm a sucker for using an artform to make fun of the same artform. The sarcasm you present through here is so much fun. I cracked a legitimate smile at "That's meaningful because tears are sad."

I'll be honest, your poem reminds me of how I used to write, trying to be grim and serious. It helps me to laugh at myself, which is something I think everyone needs. Great work, great form!
