LeavingA Poem by piecelandI met a guy who lived near to me. We had a good chat. However, he left for another city to take a new job and only had less than one month to be here. This poem was the gift I gave him for his leaving
Should the desert blame the raindrop For quenching its thirst
But then running through its veins
Leaving the salt in the sand
Should the sky blame the firework
For brightening its heart
But then vanishing away from its eyes
Leaving the dust in the air
Should I blame fate For arranging our meeting
But then limit our time
Leaving me with the sweet memory
Like how could the desert refuse to taste the dew
the sky refuse to chase the beauty
How could I say never to the warmth, the breeze, the spring
To the moon-like man from the fairy tale
How could I stop you leaving
But why not to take my teardrop into the sky
my beauty in your luggage and my best wishes into the poem
And seal it with my kisses
