...just waving good-by...

...just waving good-by...

A Poem by Picture of Poetry
"

A lady sadly saying good-by to the one she has loved all of her life...and it's very sad.

"

"I shall see you again my love!"

he said with a smile.

"One day, our hearts will once

again become one!"
"If you mean that with all of

your heart,"

she said,

"I shall believe these bold, but true

words that you have bestowed

upon my saddened heart!"

she said with tears rolling

down her warm face.

They kept shouting their thoughts

over the roaring plane that

would soon be taking her lovely husband

away from her.

Although, the only emotion he showed

upon his face was happiness,

and a tiny bit of saddness,

she knew that on the inside

he was feeling more saddness and greif than

he could hardly bare.

He then blew her a faint

kiss, and she blew him one too.

Then he shouted one last thing

before stepping onto the plane,

"My heart shall always be yours,

as yours shall always be mine,

even if our feet do not

walk the same soil!

Your face will be te picture carved

upon my heart!

I will think about you everyday,

as I know you will about me!"

Then, slowly, he turned and began

walking up the steps toward the door

of the plane, and his face

melted and began to blend with

the rest of the crowd,

as she only stood there,

just waving good-by,

as her husband went off to war.

Aw such a heartbreaking piece. The dialouge flowed so nicely that you got carried away with the characters!
A wonderfully penned piece

There's not much I can say. It was beautiful. I wasn't expecting the war, but I probably should've. I hope he comes back.

Aw, that was very heart-breaking, especially the end. :'( Great use of dialogue in this poem. It worked really well with the story and made everything come together great. =)
