Simple But I Never Say ItA Poem by Pickletheplacid
To my best friend
Who made me a father Saved me from becoming someone I'd never want to be. You have always been there And will, to the end. ................................................. Life gets in the way To say sometimes how much I love you never eventualities I may hold you tight But silly I dont say how I feel about you. To have you in my world Making me all that I am All that I have You and two beautiful daughters who mean everything All that my world could be But stupid of me! How I throw that away To never tell you how important you are Trampling this life in haste Taking you for granted. .................................. I once took you away from everything Then left you for a war I was sorry then that I was wild I'm sad now that I'll never change. To now know you supported me to success Guiding me till Millie was born My embrace to responsiblities The savour to some bad place I may have ended. With Maisie to follow The amazing miracle you made Together, the four, so stronge Different to any! There's nothing like it. ......................... I've never been weak Ever paused in fear But to think now of our girls The journey's they face Brings me to my knees Knowing the world they are to survive... I wish I could give you both All my strength The streetwise I've earnt Every memory to fight. ................................... I love you so much The amazing mother you are Keep helping me with the girls God you do already so much. I'm sorry to want so much in life With you sometimes not by my side To be selfish and not think of you To want to burn down the day Go beyond the wall Until my battery is 0% Till the night turns to birds singing in the trees. Keep supporting me in your "I don't know how you do it' way The girls are so precious as they enter this crazy mad world Only together we will make the best of it As safe as it can be. ............................ It's so simple But I never say it enough... I LOVE YOU. © 2016 Pickletheplacid |
