Chapter 2A Chapter by Heather Maria"He's Shakespeare without the drama," meChapter 2 “Heard
what?’ Malia asked with a smirk. “You yelling at someone on the other end of the phone.
Who was it? Joe?” “Not exactly. It was Nick.” Malia said as she walked
into Caitlynn’s house. Caitlynn Pitt was a seventeen year old, African-American
girl. Her parents were Brangelina, which made her celebrity status very
popular. She and Malia were best friends; you hardly saw one girl without the
other. Whenever one of them had a problem, the other one was there to have her
back. “So why were you yelling at Nick?” she asked while eating a cookie as
they were heading to her room. “I wasn’t yelling, ok? What’s with all the questions?”
Malia asked clearly aggravated. “Whoa, slow your roll, Malia. I’m just trying to
help.” “I know. I’m sorry. It’s just that Nick called and
said that he’s back with Miley and that I should go back with Joe.” “What? What happened to Selena? I thought everything
was going great between them. And why did he say you should give Joe another
chance?” “I don’t know. That’s why I was yelling at him.” “Ok…well, let’s forget about that. Guess what!”
Caitlynn said excitedly. “What?” “Dave Batista called me today! We’re going out
tonight.” she exclaimed smiling. “Wait! We were supposed to go out tonight. What am I
gonna do?” “Oops, I forgot. Well, let’s go out for lunch now.
Then maybe you could go out with Kevin.” “I’ll go out to lunch, but why would I go out with
Kevin? In case you’ve forgotten already, I’m not talking to them.” “I didn’t forget. Why won’t you talk to Kevin? He’s
the sweet one. Besides, they miss you, even Joe.” “How do you know that?” “Because Kevin told me.” “You still talk to them? Why? After all they’ve done
to me, you still talk to them?” Malia said rolling her eyes and folding her
arms. “Wait, they didn’t do anything. It was Joe who
cheated, not them. Besides they’re still my friends.” “Yeah, you’re right and it won’t hurt to talk to him.” “Exactly. So when are you gonna talk to him?” “Right now.” “Great! While you’re doing that, I’m gonna get the car
started for our lunch outing. Take your time.” While Malia called Kevin, Caitlynn went outside and
started up Malia’s car. By the time she put on her seatbelt, Malia came out
with a big smile on her face. “That was fast. I’m guessing everything went ok.” “Everything went great! Malia said as she jumped into
her car, “I’m going out with Kevin tonight and everything is cool between us
now.” “Oh, that’s great. Can we go eat now? I’m starving’” “Ha, ha, ok. Let’s go. © 2012 Heather MariaAuthor's Note
