Soldier

Soldier

A Poem by Debbie
"

I wrote this a few months ago when I was missing my brother. He has been in the Navy for almost two years now. I miss him so much!

"

A soldier, standing tall and strong, he is not afraid to fall. A soldier not afraid to stand. A soldier who does not stand alone. A loved soldier has friends to back them up. A soldier is not afraid to cry, because most of their time they are strong. A soldier can’t wait to return home. A true soldier loves their country. They fight for our freedom. Front line, flying a plane, or sitting behind a desk, a soldier is a soldier. A soldier is a enemy to few, but a hero to many. Some soldiers have different labels, some are mom or dad, some are husband or wife, some are best friend, but my soldiers label is brother. It does not matter if he is in the middle of the ocean or here at home. Either in uniform or in regular clothes, he will always be my brother. He will always be a son, a grandchild, a nephew, a cousin, and a friend. He’s more than a soldier, he is a real man! Not only do I have a brother as a soldier, I have a best friend!
