Casual EncounterA Poem by PhotochickCasual encounter ends with a huge question/decisionThe bar was crowded The tables were shared The liquor flowed freely The attitude lax
The lights were low The air was still cool Sitting close was easy to do Huddled together small talk
The time passed The glasses tipped The mood flirtatious The tone carnal
Closing time came Closing time went A scramble for rides To the next destination
A party at his house A party for two All thought animal instinct All action reckless abandon
Fleet and furious encounter Senses and thoughts dulled Sleep came soon after Drunken and deep
Morning arrives too soon Splitting head moans Sick stomach groans Graceless search for clothes
He's still sleeping She's slipping out Taxi driver waiting Regret drags her down
Weeks go by Back to life as usual Then realization strikes No visit this month
What was his name? Where was that house? How could this happen? Is it a choice or a child? © 2012 PhotochickAuthor's Note
