Becoming

A cycle of life

A glance becomes an unspoken conversation

A gentle grin becomes a smile

 

A soft touch becomes a caress

A dinner date becomes a relationship

 

A hug becomes a passionate embrace

A kiss becomes a sensuous exploration

 

Two become one

An affair becomes a marriage

 

Two become a pair

A couple becomes a family

 

Two become three

A marriage becomes a partnership

 

Three becomes four

A family bond becomes strong

 

A parental unit becomes a habit

A regular grind becomes complacency

 

Four becomes three

A family becomes unbalanced

 

Three becomes two

A nest becomes empty

 

A new dance becomes joyous

Two become one

 

An old friendship becomes new

A matter of years becomes old age

 

A terrible sickness becomes death

This reminds me of 'The sociology of the Family'. Very nice poem. It about sums up life :)
