Summer Sun

Summer Sun

A Poem by Photochick
"

Living in the heat

"

Summer smacks like a conflagration

in the southwest parts of our good nation

Thirst builds and nature wilts

sweat pours as the season tilts

Dust blows and asphalt magnifies

reminiscent of ants and a boy relishing other's cries

Seeking shade and finding shelter

anything to ease the swelter

Debating where to set the AC dial

barely dressed the preferred style

Visible waves of rising heat

careful what you touch and where you take a seat

Summer sun a ball of fire

hydration and comfort your main desire
