ConceivedA Poem by PhotochickUpon the news off my daughter being pregnant for the first time.Is that a glow I see I know that sparkle in her eyes I look at her tummy Nothing but her beauty to see
Next week there is news Exciting and welcome Time for celebration Plans to be made
Ten and ten I can imagine counting them Your tiny ones will curl around one of mine I will feel love, you comfort Our first embrace
Dark hair like mommy Toeheaded like dad But dark in the end I think Curly or straight You'll want the other
Child of my child Wonder of wonder Blood of my blood Well blended with love
I smell you when I close my eyes Sweet and fresh and clean Skin softer than any silk or satin Warm and snuggly
Will I catch a glimpse of me there? Maybe my mom or my dad? So many faces to choose from So much love you will have
Your mommy will bring you to me A gift to her from your dad Your parents smiles are unending Surpassed only by love for you
When will we meet? A Mr. or Miss? Makes no matter to me I'll be grandma again
