IF I COULD

this is a poem about being there for someone that you love or care for

IF I COULD:

 

I would suffer any pain for you

If it meant that you'd be fine,

I would take away your burdens

And gladly make them mine!!

 

I would lay upon my shoulders

Every single heavy load,

 so I could watch you walk with ease

Down a brighter pain free road!!

 

I would take away bad memories

  If it meant that you'd forget,

The things that life has put you through

At the hands of one’s you've met!!

 

I would take away your troubles

And put them inside me,

So I could see you happy

And living life carefree!!

 

I would take away the darkness

So you could see the light,

If I knew that you no longer had

To Fight for what was right!!

 

I would take from you every single thing

That life has put you through,

and if it were close too possible

I’d take on the world for you!!

 

 at times we walk a jagged path

and I'm right there in your zone,

because I won’t just stand aside

and let you walk alone!!
