FIRST AND LAST

FIRST AND LAST

A Poem by Phil Roberts

Before I open my eyes in the morning
While I'm still unsure what day it is
I wonder if you're awake yet
And what you might be doing
And I hope that you're happy

And then the very last thing at night
Before I slip into the world of sleep
I hope that you're day has been good
Then I hope that my dreams are of you
And that you dream of me too
