LOVE SONGS

LOVE SONGS

A Poem by Phil Roberts

Writing half-hearted love songs
To no-one in particular
And singing them in public
For a few beers and a pocket full of change
Just fun, after all
Then
Down the long years
And days of broken hearts
The words were lost and forgotten
So, when a song of love was heard
Of course
It was a lie
