CARELESS

CARELESS

A Poem by Phil Roberts

Things get broken
Hearts
Minds
It's no-one's fault
It never is
Not really
Butter fingers and distraction
Without malice or forethought
Things
Like hearts and minds
Slip
And shatter on hard contact with reality

Hello, Phil. I read this and thought you should know. I hope you continue with your writing. This world needs more people willing to express their feelings. Thank you for sharing and have a wonderful day. -Matt

Hi, Phil!
It's Richard here! : )
First, let me say, "Welcome to the site … I hope you will come to like it here as much as I do, and gain many friends and fans."

If this fine Free Verse is any example of what we can expect, I've no doubt you'll soon have a faithful following.
Your fellow-poet, Relic, recommended your poetry as the kind I would like, and he is certainly correct in that assumption … thank you, Relic!

How sad and true what you say so often is, Phil, I think it is all life makes of us that allows such to happen, and ohhh, how we learn … hopefully!

I thoroughly enjoyed the wisdom and understanding dancing upon the page in your poetic voice, and I most gracious thank you for the privilege of reading your pencraft! ⁓ Richard

(psst! "butterfingers" is a word … LOL!)
