memories of a gig

memories of a gig

A Poem by nigrum homonculus
"

ah...the brutality of metal gigs. based off a time i went to see 5 bands in one night with a good friend of mine.

"

I don’t wanna rave, I wanna have fun

Until the rise of the sun.

I can see the sea of sweat

I plunge right in. I don’t care if im swept,

Away with the atmosphere

The electricity is crystal clear.

Igniting the air, to be fair

I’m tired but I don’t need a chair.

The pit is open, a wall of death

S**t scared, the devil may care.

You hit my nose! My eyes are closed,

I’m gripping my face with pain.

You better divide or fight cause boy I’m about to go f*****g insane.

drunk with rage, message received

apology? Weapon sheathed.

We have a laugh, enjoy the crowd.

The bass that has made us proud,

To be part of a night

A night that I see,

Forever in my memories.

Really descriptive, the imagery is great. Only thing I saw was two of the lines start in lowercase while the rest are capitalized. Just what I thought. :) Loved it!
