Octavarium

Octavarium

A Poem by nigrum homonculus
"

life comes full circle

"

I walk a path of gold

Stretching beyond the horizon.

Not aware of a pitfall.

I fade into the black with velocity.

Days it seems…years even.

Just descending into the noir.

But there seems to be light

At the end of this vertical tunnel.

Furiously I approach it.

Gaining speed with ambition.

I’ve exited the octavarium….

Landing firmly on my feet.

I walk a path of gold

Stretching beyond the horizon.

Not aware of a pitfall.

I fade into the black with velocity.

Clever use of repetition! It felt like it came full circle with you starting and ending the piece in the same way.

I love how the first and last stanzas are the same, I think it creates a solid beginning and end. Well said!
