thought it would do justice if i wrote about my recent experiences....has been a long while since i last wrote.

i never sold you dreams

nor did i play with cliches

i said whatever happens happens.

i never forced it upon you.

the initiation of this complicated situation was down to you

the danger behind our intimate encounter, was down to you.

the violent emotions lurching at your heart, was down to you.

see....

i never told you fantasies

or paved yellow brick roads for you.

you made your world out of weak assumptions and hopes

and came crashing down upon me.

me.

that boy you fell for in 48 hours.

that boy you lost yourself in.

that boy who was genuine with you

that boy who "fucked you up"

see....

i never sold you a dream....

i never told you a lie.....

the bane of your existence is the agony you created

not me....not....me......

if there are two of you in a relationship then both of you, have responsibilites (which can easily not be missed and negated, through sheer blindness, I find) It takes me a while to refelect on what might have been happening and what was going wrong, where I need to make more efforts your writing and poetic structures are always so immaculate and this is no exception

Good to see you here again, and to see your work.
This is very upfront in content and feel. It has a little sing-song feel to it, that I thought worked well.
Each time I read through it for some reason, every time I got to the final line, I read it as, " not me... not me... not I." I have not idea why unless I was subconsciously rhyming it with "lie."
