once again

once again

A Poem by nigrum homonculus
"

a bit of a new look on some daily issues. really enjoyed writing this.

"

Once again i’m beside myself.

Heart worn on my sleeve.

Its eyes water as it sees

Its degradation of health.

Once again I’m isolated.

Sitting amongst the conjoined.

“together forever” they claimed.

Mentally running off into sunsets.

Once again I am patronised

By dependant “omniscient” minds

I am 1 not 2. Whole not half

I think as 1. Act as 1.

Once again I realise

Independence is key.

If I am alone I am free

To do as I please

I agree with deltacowolf, the last verse is strong. A great ending for this poem; and, a great thought for life. Well done.

I like the last verse best. "If I am alone I am free to do as I please to live my life with ease." Until I left in 08 I'd been in the corps since I was 18 and I had no idea what to do. I was free in a directionless life of ease that was scarier than basic was. So yeah, That's what I get from that last verse. Great job...
