The rainA Poem by nigrum homonculusbased on the recent floods in England and the people who lost their lives to it.The rain came down, The clouds a deep grey. But It showered lightly Like any other day. The rain came down, With no sign of stopping. The puddles became pools Waterlogging clothing. The rain came down. Terrifying and heavy. It stormed the town Because we had no levy. The rain came down, Down at break neck speed. It issued a warning, A warning we did not heed. The rain came down, It washed away the blood. The rain came down, It took me with its flood. © 2012 nigrum homonculusReviews
