appreciation to a motherA Poem by nigrum homonculusMy mum is a nurse. she looks after me, my father and a ton of babies at work. bonds with them only to watch some die. she is a strong woman and...to be quite frank, an unappreciated saint.I see you Don’t go on like I don’t. Working 12 hours a day Paying the bills as dad won’t. I see you I’m 19 I can tell. The pain in your eyes. The pain you hide so well. I see you Slaving in the kitchen. Making something out of nothing. Enduring dads incessant bitching. I see you the on-going trauma you face. Watching a new born slip Into deaths cold embrace. I see you Seeking refuge in the bathroom. Crying silently in the night because they were lost in the womb. I see you mum an the s**t you go through. So when you become weak let me carry you. © 2012 nigrum homonculusReviews
