Goodbye Friend

Goodbye Friend

A Poem by Phillips
"

What happened? To the laughs. The smiles.

"
Sometimes I dream I am wandering down those back roads.
I am young again.
Oblivious to the happenings all around me.
Walking  just for something to do.
Instead of running to escape.
I see those pictures of old friends with their new replacements in our shoes.
What happened?
What about friends forever?
When we were younger we were blind.
We thought friendship really was forever.
Little did we know, forever would come too soon.
What happened?
To the laughs.
The smiles.
It seems so far away.
When we used to swing
And just look up at the sky.
And now,
I am afraid,
We are growing apart.
We all have our own ideas about life.
Our own futures.
So goodbye friend...

I really like this one.
It sucks growing up. You lose too much..And friends are the most painfull things to lose.
