Compass May 22A Poem by philforwordsnowWhen travelling last year I looked at the news on that day, this is the result of what I read.compass may 22
in the east rain drenched farmers slide out onto their fields their faith growing low as low as their yields
in the west alberta fires in chuckegg creek are out of control whilst the man who pedalled cocaine gets released early on parole
in the north a missing woman called skye has just been found but in a bay on a Manitoba first nation a four year old boy has tragically drowned
in the south yorkton students learn about lockdown and hold and secure so sad that these are the things our kids now need to endure
so whilst a compass rose underpins a visiting travellers prose a simple needle swing from diversity to adversity from rich to poor these are the swings at peril we ignore
“from far and wide o Canada we stand on guard for thee God keep our land glorious and free”
