Nebula

A Poem by Phoenix
"

Where did we come from?

"
Moon a pale shape in night sky
Desolate landscape there is seen
Nothing moves across its surface
Quietness reigns

Turning slowly so it seems
A sliver quarter half
Then full once more
As it moves round

Home to beings of a different kind
Settled there so long ago
Billions of years indeed
But time not measured as we do

High initiates came unto
Watching earth so carefully
Awareness following all who dwelt
Below on earth

Waiting they to espy
Those who choose a higher path
Leaving behind cause and effect
Becoming cause entirely
Holy secrets of the mystery schools

Various aspects of the moon
In man twenty-eight nerves from spinal cord
Stem from positions of the moon
Twenty -eight days it takes to return
To its first form
Cosmic forces aligning again

Phoenix
I keep forgetting to add punctuation...
Do poems have punctuation throughout, or am I just thinking too hard?
