A Lost Love

A Lost Love

A Poem by Phoenix
"

A seemingly emotional love poem about a lost loved one, but with a twist...

"

I miss your warm caress,

Your feel on my body,

The way you hold me close.

So many things to express,

You impressed everybody,

Even put me in a doze.

But now you’re gone,

And I’m alone,

Lost and yearning for you.

I just really want you on,

So I’m my own,

Don’t you feel this way too?

Please come back,

I miss you so.

My heart, it is black,

Our love can only grow.

I’ll die without you,

Can’t you see?

Come back, I beg you,

My hoodie.

I wrote this on a short idea given to me by a friend who lost her favorite hoodie. So, it doesn't flow well, I know, and I just pieced together words that seemed to rhyme..?

A beautiful write with a twist and the twist is surprisingly warm.
Interesting rhyme work with words of other stanzas at some places. Good job! I expect a lot from you..
The title is very touching. I wish your hoodie also understands your feelings.
Thanks for sharing.. Keep writing...

Heh! Don't you love how you can treat a hoodie any way you want and it wont complain? We get so careless with them that they do seem to get lost a lot. Thanks for sharing.
